Canadian women served overseas in combat roles for the first time during the Gulf War. This painting shows a ground crew preparing to arm a CF-18 jet at the Canadian air base in Doha, Qatar. Ted Zuber participated in the Canadian Armed Forces Civilian Artists Program (CAFCAP), serving in the Gulf War from January 21 to March 3, 1991.
